Serving Spoon

This was wibble_puppy's main Christmas present from me. It is a serving spoon that I whittled from a lovely piece of burr beech while we were staying on Eigg:




It's finished with (lots of) olive oil, which isn't very durable but it's food-safe and easily re-applied. The shape of the bowl largely came from the grain of the piece of wood I chose - I had initially planned to make a much shallower spoon for stirring food rather than serving it.
