Hijinks Ensue

No more Accrington NORI bricks

Sad news. The factory that produces the world-famous Accrington NORI bricks is to be mothballed following a downturn in the building industry. They are one of the strongest bricks in the world, and for that reason were used to build the foundations of the Empire State Building. NORI is IRON spelled backwards; the story goes that they were originally called that because the mould-maker accidentally reversed the letters in the mould.
