Apart from finishing off spraying the door hinges, I spent all my spare time last week sanding Fenchurch's paintwork flat. I sanded until my fingertips bled, then I put plasters on them and carried on sanding. I feel like the Karate Kid where Mr Miyagi trains him by making him carry out repetitive chores for hour after hour until he's mastered the perfect "sand off your opponent's face" move. The good news is I've finally done all the removable panels, the rear side panels, and most of the roof - I should be able to finish the last of it off tomorrow morning. The bad news is I'm going to have to re-prime various patches where it wasn't thick enough to get the finish totally smooth without rubbing through to bare metal, and I'll have to flat those bits down a second time afterwards. I've also had to remove all the masking paper and tape from the wooden frame because it was peeling off at the edges, so I'll have to redo that before I can continue spraying the body shell.
