I would walk five hundred miles, and - then I'd need a Cobbler
I was wondering this morning why the soles of my shoes are splitting after only 14 months, and why I've been through three pairs of inner soles in that time. A bit of mental arithmetic on the bus reveals I've walked over 250 miles extra as a result of my car crash earlier this year, on top of another 250 miles or so I would have walked anyway in the time I've owned the shoes.
