Leap Day

I wonder how many marriage proposals I'm going to get today?

Hmm. 365 x 4 = 1460

So excluding the odd leap hour, it should be 1/1460th of the proposals you've made?
do you think these have to be done in person, or can it be done by text or phone?
Carrier pigeon or smoke signals are acceptable.
If you feel like moving to Scotland I'll ask you to marry me. Toy Boys, mmmmmm.
see this week's episode of Bridget in my journal
Time for another response I think...
Does it count if it's from a Bear? (the teddy kind)
Hmm... Is this hypothetical bear rich and beautiful?
Rich? No

Beautiful? Depends on your point of view

Male? Most definitely

Leaps

How many are you expecting? ;)

Re: Leaps

42?
Be careful.. wiki says..

Supposedly, a 1288 law by Queen Margaret of Scotland (then age five and living in Norway), required that fines be levied if a marriage proposal was refused by the man; compensation ranged from a kiss to £1 to a silk gown, in order to soften the blow.

I read elsewhere that it was a pair of silk gloves. As ms_cataclysm says above, the latest episode of Catherine Cookedup's Adventures of Bridget touches upon this.
Ooh, silk! Excellent for creating an electrostatic charge :-)
Yes, silk gloves is what I heard. At university, a friend went down on one knee in the cafeteria for me. When I accepted she said she had only wanted the gloves - it has affected my view of women ever since.

I never broke it off so technically we are still engaged, I wonder where she is now?
I'm liking the_magician's honeymoon first idea!!

You want a honeymoon?! Erm, OK - how does a weekend in Blackpool sound? ;)
Can I have candy floss??

(not a euphemism for anything other than the super-unhealthy, sugary confection!!)
And a hot dog! And a 99! Then we can go to the pleasure beach and ride on the Grand National and the Pepsi Max Big One. :)
Wouldn't that makes us a bit sick??!!

Could we get to ride along the beach on a donkey??? Is that still allowed?
I believe they do still have donkeys in the summer but I'm not sure if adults can ride on them.
I'm only a little adult *pouts*
