Travel meme

As seen on many other people's journals, here is a list of the places where I've spent at least one night away from home during 2007. I might have forgotten one or two.

  1. Middlesbrough
  2. Hinckley
  3. Chester
  4. Renfrew
  5. Leicester
  6. Cheddar
  7. Penzance
  8. Underbank (near Buxton)
  9. Glendevon
  10. Harray (Orkney)
  11. Minigaff
  12. Glasgow
  13. Walsall
  14. Stratford Upon Avon
  15. Southend

A lot longer list than mine. When you say Paisley do you mean Renfrew for Confounding Tales? Not a lot of difference but the locals insist there is one. :-)
Yes, I'll alter it.

Nearly all of them are either con hotels, or the places I stayed while on the Land's End to Orkney rally. Hopefully 2008's list will be even longer because I'm planning on doing two road trips.

No idea why locals differentiate as they're both hellholes at the ass end of Scotland! The best thing about both is the Road East!
I think you would get on well with my friend from Edinburgh. I'm not going to get involved in the argument, both Glasgow and Edinburgh seem perfectly fine cities from where I'm standing (safely 200 miles away). ;)
AH yes most of my allegiances are to Edinburgh. Glasgow has better shops but Edinburgh ahs better night life! Do you mind if I friend you? I found my way here via The Magician who I randomly friended at some point!
Sure. Is it possible I've met you IRL at a con or something?
Nope, I don't roleplay(or I do but that's a one on one in the bedroom sort of gig!), I'm afraid I'm just a normal run of the mill computer geek who likes lots of gadgets and hanging with other geeks who all role play. I only met The Magician via LJ as we got into an interesting musical debate in someone elses LJ and I liked the way he thought. Just consider me a stalker as he does!!!
OK. Actually I'm not into roleplaying games either, though I have some friends who are (the scene tends to overlap with SF fandom to an extent, as does SCA). I know the_magician through SF conventions, which is why I thought you might too. We're both involved in organising Orbital 2008, next year's Eastercon.
